Why does the colour on my monitor differ from the colour on my printed proofs and final image?
The RGB colour space (the amount of visible colour represented in RGB mode) is able to portray a greater spectrum of colour than CMYK. As a result, RGB images will be far more vibrant on your monitor than when they are printed. Output programs are more likely to convert RGB images during the printing process now, but the printed colour may not be exactly what you intended.
Ideally, you should convert your RGB images to CMYK for colour printing and place the converted images into your output files. However, if your monitor isn’t “colour calibrated” or if you are unfamiliar with how your monitor compares to your output images, you may still find that your converted CMYK images won’t print properly.
